But not everybody bothers to make bricks because it's tedious and a bit boring and it takes almost no skill. They need thousands and millions of bricks. It's somewhat like brick making in A Tale in the Desert. Our level 99 Widgeteer wouldn't be spending an hour to make 100 Widgets that can sell for 20 copper each and give no experience when they could farm that task out to others and spend that hour either producing 10 Widgets that sell for 20 gold each or adventuring or doing other things that provide far, far higher benefit. Low level Widgeteers would work on low tier items because they derive a benefit from doing so that the high level Widgeteer would have progressed beyond. As I envision it, the issue here is that unless time to manufacture is an issue, no level 99 widgeteer would want to bother with the hassle of buying the low level crafting thing from the level 9 widgeteer as an ingredient to his level 99 widget.
